Baci Restaurant Reviews

THIS Italian restaurant is in a great location, on the brow of a hill in Harwood on the edge of open countryside, giving it an imposing position and Baci is well worth journeying out to.

I headed there with four others one Saturday night and the place was packed — it's clearly very popular. We were quickly shown to a table in a smaller, quieter part of the restaurant — perfect.

The staff were warm and welcoming, swiftly taking drinks orders and leaving us to consider the menu and specials they had to keep giving us more time as the main menu was filled with tempting starters, pizzas, pasta and meat dishes, from a few pounds to about £17 for a steak. Then the specials list provided even more choices, including seafood.

Eventually, I opted for the chicken pate, at £5.45, to start. It was a big portion and absolutely delicious the others went for crab cakes, a deep fried cheese option and an avocado and crab dish, which all went down a treat and were about £5/6. I chose a special for my main course, the tagliatelle Baci, at £11.95, which was pasta tossed with steak, chorizo, shallot, garlic, tarragon and a dash of cream, really rich and fantastically tasty.

I wish this restaurant was still a best kept secret but the word has spread... It is a warm family friendly Italian with great food, generous portions and a laid back environment that has not compromised on its excellent service. Dress up or down you'll fit in. Modern decor but spacious and the chairs are comfortable. Good parking availability. I've been a few times now and they quickly get to know you, Chef has always been very accommodating about little changes. They do take-aways too - much to my husbands appreciation, the steak in peppercorn sauce just melts in the mouth. The pasta is always perfectly al dante, I would recommend the sea food linguine, it's my favorite. A brilliant place to try mid week - as there are often very good offers.

We have been going to Baci since its opening and have enjoyed both eating in and takeaway menu. We have gone on several occasions with the kids and with large groups and always have excellent food and great service. It is great to have a good restaurant in walking distance where we can enjoy good food and wine.

We are regular visitors to Baci purely because we enjoy the food and the atmosphere! The staff are always friendly and helpful and there is always a lively, family atmosphere to the place. It is the kind of restaurant that you can pop into any evening of the week knowing there will be enough other people there to give it a nice atmosphere - having been in quite a number of other restaurants which are too quiet! I also had my daughters' christening there a few years ago which was excellent.

Excellent Restaurant, I have been with friends numerous times now and would definitely recommend to anyone. The service is first class and the staff are so friendly. The menu is extensive and the food and wine taste fantastic. We always go mid week, its such fantastic value with the offers they have my favourite is by far their specials dish, chicken with white wine sauce...delicious, You will not be disappointed.
